Custom Viewlisting Module

The Custom Viewlisting Module allows you to create custom viewlisting templates and assign them to a category in your 68 Classifieds website. This comes in handy to allow you to have different views of your listings for categories that don't "fit" the default template. You can have as many custom viewlisting templates as you would like. A simple example for a general classifieds site would be for categories such as Announcements and Employment. Clearly neither of these categories need to see a price when you view the listing. You could assign these categories to the included no_price.tpl template file for your site. A more complex example would be if your site had categories for "Cars" and "Real Estate". You as the admin diligently created several extra fields assigned them to the individual categories. Cars: Make, Model, Mileage, Ex Color, Interior Color and Condition. Real Estate: Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Sq. Footage, Acreage. Using the Custom Viewlisting Module, you could create separate templates for these two categories. Instead of just having the default list of extra fields one after another, you could make a "cars.tpl" file and display box in the "Cars" category template, put an outline around it, a title, "Features" and display all of those extra fields exactly how you want to display it. Create a separate template called, "realestate.tpl", for the "Real Estate" category. In that one make a different display box called, "Property Info" and include the Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Sq. Footage and Acreage. All the other categories would use the standard default viewlisting, but the "Cars" category listing would use the custom "cars.tpl" and the "Real Estate" category listings would use the custom "realestate.tpl" template.

After testing several different Classifieds systems, we were unable to find one that was suitable for our clients requirements: - Credit Card processing via eWay - Template customizable 68Classifieds had a suitable systems, and included documentation to help developers build their own payment plugins - so thats exactly what we did! All you need to do is upload the files to the correct folder. Login to your 68Classifieds site, activate the plugin, enter your eWay ID number, select a couple of other preferences, and it is done. We are available for email support, but it is really simple - so chances are if you are looking at this page, then you should be fine.

Gallery View

The Gallery View Module appears in all showlisting pages. This will give you two tabs, one for the List view (default) and another for the Gallery view. When a visitor selects the Gallery view, the page will then show your listings in a similar fashion to the Featured listings plugin (as used in the default template home page), however with CSS styling. Each listing is contained within an outlined box and will show the title, thumbnail image and price. This will also maintain any "Featured, Highlighted" upgrades for the listing, however all text is bold. The List view is set to use your previously chosen search results view from the administration. If the "Short Description" search results view was chosen, this list view is identical to the original except without the white lines that are in the normal short description display. This module is incompatible with the Custom Cats Module. This is NOT compatible with v5.x
